WHO WE ARE
Art School is a non-profit organization that seeks to connect art-minded people of all ages and walks of life for the betterment and uplifting of the community. Our vision is to hold elevated single art lessons as well as ongoing arts courses.
We want to empower artists to hone their craft, find their niche and experience success. When community members come together to share their knowledge and abilities, we can accomplish much. We believe this begins with education.
WHAT WE DO
Art School is currently offering classes and workshops for all ages and skillsets in our studio. We will be happy to design art parties, scouting events, ladies and couples nights, family sessions, and team-building events. Our sessions offer a background into the art media of your choice and aim to create not only a piece of art you are proud to display, but also the feeling that you can be successful in art.
Our ongoing weekly lessons offer aspiring artists the opportunity to learn from artists who have developed techniques over years of trial and error, education and experience. Located in downtown Lee’s Summit we also offer robust in-person lessons, after-school programs and summer camps.
WHAT OUR SHAPES REPRESENT
CIRCLE: CULTIVATION
The circle represents the intrinsic cyclic nature of life. Ever flowing, continuously building, and growing. It represents the value empowerment of our artistic community through our classes, teaching, and mentoring.
SQUARE: FOUNDATION
The square is the base or foundation of our Art School community. We value art and education, and build our creative learning experiences upon the fundamentals of each. It also represents the physical (or virtual) space where our activities will be held.
TRIANGLE: CREATIVITY
Our triangle represents art or creativity itself. The balance of mind, body, and soul. We feel that the adventure of finding your inner voice is a personal journey of reflection that can be expressed through the language of creativity and art.
PLUS: COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
The plus represents joining or togetherness. The social interaction within and throughout to engage and improve the community is one of our core values. Some of the many ways that we will connect is through media, outreach, partnerships, and career building. It also represents the spiritual nature of giving back, equity, and inclusivity. To grow as a community, we must come together as one.
